Although Simpson refused to answer accusations that she had undergone a rhinoplasty, it was clear to the media and the public it had undergone the knife. It is rumored that Simpson also had a chin implant placed at the time of her surgery rhinoplasty.

Old photos of Jay-Z, whose real name Shawn Carter, reveals a very wide nose, with a very bulbous, tip rounded. Newer photos show old recently turned 40 that his nose seems to have been slightly reduced and the round tip was less pronounced. While the difference could be the camera angle, it may also indicate a slight ethnic rhinoplasty.

For career reasons, would-be celebrities often decide to have nose jobs at a young age — before they have attracted fans who would be upset by any change in their appearance.

For medical reasons, that’s not a good idea.

“It’s important for young men and women to mature physically as well as emotionally before any nasal surgery is performed. If surgery is performed at too young of an age, undesired effects may be seen as a result of continual growth of the nasal bones and cartilage,” plastic surgeon Dr. Nicholas Nikolov of Beverly Hills told last week’s online “In Your Face CHAT.”

I replied, “That’s tough advice for young hopefuls who want to get plastic surgery early, before they gain fans who’ll be upset by any changes.”

“Yes, it is the price of fame,” Nikolov said. ” If surgery is performed before full development, revision surgery may likely be necessary at a later time.”

The discussion of nose jobs began with a look at photos of young celebrity Ali Lohan, 15, the sister of actress Lindsay Lohan. She reportedly had a nose job at age 13. (See photos below.)

Celebrities who desire a differently shaped nose often keep the work secret, which they can do either by having the operation performed early in their careers or by making sure that it produces only subtle changes in their appearance.

Tyra Banks, Jennifer Lopez and Salma Hayek are in the first category, along with Ali Lohan. They apparently had their nose jobs at a young age.

looks like its about 8 out of 10 female celebrities get a job once they start gettin more famous nose. Why is this?

It is really strange. I read a statistic once that said something like 85% of women dislike their nose. Too me that's stupid. I prefer to be known as someone with a nose slightly imperfect someone who is so insecure that they need plastic surgery to correct something so minor. Personally, I like it when people have interesting nose. It's better than all those who want the same thing. If you change your nose, you change the appearance of the whole face.

I just had a nose job 4 days ago and it's very swollen any ideas, what celebs do ?

I had a nose-job....it all takes time.....be very, very careful with ice.....I can see that everyone here told you ice, but remember....your nose don't have any real feeling, so you don't know when it will hurt your new nose...after the swelling goes down, after the blue and black cheeks and eyes...then it all gets kinda yellow, which I really hated...cant cover with make-up...so 4-6 weeks after, you will look much better...then after 3 month...then another 6 month...a nose actually take 1 year to settle...

oh, by the way...I'm a girl....

but did they do it to their boods too? like paris hilton, it look so bigger in a pic than the show THE SIMPLE LIFE, or are they just still growing?

I wouldn't be surprised if Paris Hilton had gotten a boob job. It wouldn't surprise me if anyone like her did.

My friend and I are debating on how much money some celebs payed for theirs.

Depends where and by who and if your insurance will cover it.

I would imagine anywhere from $2,000 to $8,000. Again, depending by whom it's done and what hospital and what coverage you have and other factors. Rhinoplasty isn't cheap. I need to get it done. NEED.

Now I know I know, imam get slack A) for being a guy and wanting this & B) some blind (no offense) people will say I should love who I am and that my nose is ok but please save all of that. Only serious answers plz.

Now I’m entering an industry that’s all about looks and I (like many HUMAN beings do) have insecurities, so many it could take all night to list. So I promised if I had the chance I’d only “fix” three PHYSICAL things and I had to keep it that way. I decided my skin is first, then maybe my hairline, but FOR SURE my nose.

I don’t want no cookie cutter nose or a celebs nose, just a better more refined version of MY nose. So how much do you think this would set me back? I’ve included a pic of my current nose and how I’d like it to be.

firstt i know yur gonna be upset that im adding my 2 cents =[ but i dont think you should get it i like yur nose better before AND IM NOT BLIND OKAY ! theres not even that noticeable of a difference which would be a waste of money thats like girls that get implants that barely make a difference useless right ?
and yur nose job could cost from 3,000 - 12,000 so personally yur cute with the nose yu have and i think yu should just leave it the way it is because if the person messes up on yur nose your gonna be even worst off .

ok when you look at my face it looks normal....everything is perfect size but when i look at my profile my nose seems too big?and i feel bad about it...seems like everywhere i turn all hot girls has small cute noses....i don't wanna have a nose job....how to love my nose?any hot celebs with big noses?

That's how I feel. My nose is the same way. All my other features are fine and then my nose just ruins my profile and everything. It makes me so self concious to laugh and stuff because it sticks out more.
All you can do is accept that you are who you are and even getting plastic surgery might make you look worse (I've thought about plastic surgery).
Just start to feel more confident and I am sure you're a pretty girl. It may seem worse to you than it really is, too.

okay i want to fix my nose so so bad. my nose is not that bad but i feel so insecure about it. i mean i get comments on how pretty i am, and gorgeous, but i just cant help it. once a blue moon i get comment on my nose. when i look at beautiful girls with small noses i feel so insecure! but the thing is if i get a nose job it wont be with just anyone, itll be with a celeb dr. in LA. like alot of money too. but i think it might be worth it. i mean when i did my research on nose job, i found out that almost 80% of hollywood had rhinoplastly!! but honestly what do u guys think. i hate my nose. my nose looks good in the front view but sides it looks long

All the attractive celebs have very nice small noses. Does this add to their beauty? A lot of them have had nose jobs which suggest this is so. I always thought I has a small nose but it's actually quite big compared to the celebs! are we heading towards a world of small noses!?

Changing your nose can completely change your face. I know people who have had their noses altered and some have been unrecognisable while with others the change was barely noticeable although the nose was now perfect.

No human being is perfect. We should all learn to love ourselves for what we are and accept our little 'imperfections' as unique and characterful.

No, picking a nose out of a catalogue is not good practice, but a good Italian cosmetic plastic surgeon should be able to tell you what would look good on You!. By the way, you are very pretty and I don't see a nose problem. A good doctor will consider everything about your face and it will be custom to only you. I would try to go with an Italian doctor as he probably has done lots of cousins, his mother, his aunts, sisters, etc which gives him lost of experience. Ask to see photos. My friend is Greek and is getting a Greek doctor to tweak her nose. He'll take a photo of you and use his mouse pen to show you on the computer monitor what he can do. You will see if you like it before any surgery. Best of Wishes!

ive wanted a nose job for years and really would like to know anyones own experiences of this type of surgery , for example how much to expect to pay, healing time, and what the results are like ...whether it made a big difference to how they felt.

also daft question are you supposed to have an idea of what you want your nose to look like after( like a celeb etc) or does the surgeon explain what would be the best procedure and what changes suit my face more?

i appreciate some people are highly against plastic surgery but its something i really want to do. my nose is REALLY out of proportion with my features and i have suffered countless bullying and self confidence issues because of it, however my dad is really against the idea of plastic surgery too and although i am an adult he would disown me, what would be the best way the ensure him is the right thing for me to do?

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about boobs and stuff. My friends talk about it a lot flat, not flat, and the talk about butts too. I want to be bigger, and I know it takes time... but when will I really start growing? I just turned 13, and I wear a 34A but I think I should actually wear a 32A but my mom never takes me shopping for bras. I've been a 32/34A since 6th grade (2 years) I'm ready to grow! I have a friend that was flat last spring, and now she's a B and I'm super jealous. My mom is a D and everyone in my family has huge boobs - my cousin even had reduction surgery, hers were that big. I just want to know when I'll grow them, it makes me so sad. Also, I always thought plastic surgeey was bad, but I really hate my nose. I think one day I'll get a nose job. Is that bad? Do people think less of people with plastic surgery done? What if it makes you feel better about yourself? Have most celebs had nose jobs?? Because all their noses look the same, and I want mine like that too! I just don't like the shape. I try to be so confident, but I'm not. I feel so ugly. I need braces, and good acne medication too. I feel so ugly.

It's really a shame when girls focus so much on outward appearance. I don't mean you should be a slob, but just don't worry about comparing your development with others. That'll work itself out soon enough, and there's nothing you can/should do about it, so you really shouldn't let it bother you. Maybe you should consider carefully why you want your body to be different. Is there really a good reason?

Unnecessary surgery is an unnecessary risk. You could really mess yourself up that way. Please don't go to get your face carved up like a Halloween pumpkin someday. In addition to the risk, think of the cost of plastic surgery. Aren't there tons of good things that could be done with that much money that would be really great?

I think a better way to feel good about yourself is to work hard and accomplish things. There are opportunities in school. You can do good deeds or community service. You can work toward a career.

Braces are expensive too, but sometimes you can get them for free with the right insurance. You'll have to ask your parents about that one if you haven't already. For acne, have you ever tried Proactiv? That was the only thing that worked very well for me.

Yeah, I think some do. I don't have any pics but Ashlee Simpson had a nose job and I think Lady Gaga & Ashley Tisdale did too.. and probably a lot get boob enhancements.

Okay, so truthfully I know that I'm pretty..only thing is (like anyone) I do have a flaw that really does bother me. I have a sort of"unique" nose, that looks like Ashlee Simpson's old nose before she got a nose job lol. I was just thinking, guys, would you date a pretty girl with a flaw such as a somewhat ugly nose?

I was looking in a magazine and like 78% of Ashlee's fans liked her better before she got the nose job. She looked different - in a good way - that made her much more unique than the other celebs, which I can agree with but I really don't like my own nose on me. I think it suited Ashlee better.

But in all honesty it wouldnt depend on how you look... of course a attractive woman would be more eye catching but a nose would not be enough to drive me away from someone i like. and if a guy leaves you for it... screw him. you deserve a guy there for you and to love you... not just for a prize and to show you off. truth is... love is the main thing... not a nose. im sure your beautiful.

The answer to that is no. Your face looks different ways at different times. The picture on the left is a very young picture and the nose is a little more pug. When you get older, the nose like the lips then out. Angelina Jolie is an incredibly beautiful woman. That beauty should last until she is about 50 before it starts to break. At that point she has a choice, to go the fake route with all the botox or to grow old gracefully like Jamie Curtis.

ok, i am 14 and i am getting surgery done in augest right before school starts, my nose is not huge, its just deviated, so i HAVE to get it done so i will be able to breath!

how long will it take for me to recover, will i have back eyes at school ??
