Alison Young's Beauty Bible: For a red, spotty and inflamed nose...
I have a problem with my nose. It became really red since menopause and sporadic at times and feels inflamed. I do not drink or smoke. Is this you can suggest?
Alison: There is something called rosacea, which it may or not be, but your doctor can diagnose this for you. It may be worth making an appointment to be sure, and if it is rosacea, then they will be able to provide further advice on this point.
However, it is also quite common to have a red rash on the forward fuselage at the age of menopause. It is very important:
Avoid the sun (especially sunbathing), as any form of heat will make things worse Do not use exfoliating scrubs and, like any form of irritation, it will be worse using a solid block all day sun protection and help prevent the area from becoming inflamedIf your skin is usually irritated and sensitive at the time, then it may be useful to conduct your routine incredibly simple.Liz Earle Moisturizer Superskin comes to mind immediately, and has actually been praised by a famous journalist recently for this same problem. It contains a very pure, naturally active ingredients and is ideal for sensitive skin.
So be sure to use SPF daily and keep this area out of the sun too. Cover it over with a product that you're less likely to have an allergy to the like bareMinerals SPF15 Foundation. It is made without dyes, preservatives or parabens. This product should give you the confidence of the skin without looking too made.
I'm 57 and occasionally spots on the chin, which usually have two or three heads on them. As I got older my skin seems very sensitive. I used the Liz Earle products for several years but I wanted to use one without smelling oil, thinking it might help the problem. I tried Dermalogica - thought it would be ok, but the usual spots appeared after a couple of days. What do you suggest? Sent to oily but flaky forehead between the eyebrows and the rest of the face is usually dry, but not so bright....Voting Question: Pimple/cyst/ingrown hair in my nostril. What is ...

I have this bizarre and painful bump on the top in my nostril to the tip of my nose. It hurts a lot! The pain spread to the tip of my nose too, and last night I tried popping, and the pus out. I cleaned and applied antibiotic ointment (Neosporin) to the region to help fight infection.
I read on some websites it could be a Pimple, cyst or ingrown hairs. What is this??
It's very painful to put pressure on the area and is ignited. My nose is slightly red and it's a little embarrassing. I had this painful lump growing inside of my nostrils at the top (near the tip of my nose) for a few days now. Will it go away? Should I apply an ointment or even benzoyl peroxide?
[News] Sick Junsu « fashion follows yoochun
As you can see from pictures taken at the airport, Junsu was wearing a mask. Sad to inform all, Junsu is indeed sick with Pollinosis. Some might not know what is Pollinosis so let me elaborate, Pollinosis it’s the technical term for hay fever which is an allergy caused by pollen or dust in which the mucous membranes of the eyes and nose are itchy and inflamed, causing a runny nose and watery eyes. To prevent his allergy from getting worse, Junsu should go back to Korea for a while and take a break or stay in and not go out so much when in Japan. Since with the new album out and the tight schedule with tons of activities, I doubt our boys will get any day off. Seems like the only thing he can do at the moment is just wear a mask.
