For some strange reason, my nose was still blocked most of the time whenever im in a room with a large number of people or when its very stuffy. If you know a way to cure my stuffy nose instantly, Can U please tell me?

I used to suffer from allergies and then I tried a product called OPC-3. This is an anti histamine all natural and I take it regularly and I have not had any problems with allergies. It comes in powder form and you mix it with water and drink. OPC-3 also helps with arthritis and asthma, if they are also a problem. With it, I would also recommend the multivitamin because together they taste like a vitamin flint that you drink.(and everyone needs vitamins too) You can also register on the site and shop partner stores (which are almost any online store you can imagine) and earn points towards get products for free. Even then, if you take what you spent on drugs against allergies before, you would come out cheaper to try this. I use these products and I am very happy with them

I tried to explode again and again, and it becomes a little more clogged every time I shoot. I heard that the more you blow the worse it is what anyone means to cure a drug withtout stuffy nose? I just took a claritan d there about two hours, and it will not help.

Whenever I have a stuffy nose, I eat something hot and spicy. You can eat Flamin Hots (hot Cheetos) or spicy salsa or just something you have in your house. Once you eat enough spicy things, you get a runny nose and when your nose that permeates everything you need to do is to blow it once and your stuffy nose is gone. If you have heartburn or Osler or any other condition where you can not eat spicy things or Chile, you can always go buy vicks vapo rub.all you have to do is rub on your chest and blocked nose begins to dissipate and plus it smells fresh mint; D

Drink hot tea. The steam helps to melt the mucus so that it run out of your nose (gross, i know). Or if you have vicks vapor rub or any kind of camphor or menthol based product put some into a big bowl of really hot (like boiled) water let in melt then put your face over it and cover your head with a towel. Then just breath in the vapors and let them loosen up all that gunk in your sinuses.

For your nose you might want to try something like Suphedrine, which contains pseudoephedrine, a decongestant which works well for a stuffy nose. For a sore throat, I use Chloraseptic, which helps, but even better is a hot drink, like apple cider or wassail.

Im sick but i dont want to be stuck inside because its a really nice day 2day its about 70 for the first time and i really want to be outside and active, but yesterday it was a nice day to and i was excersizing [i was sick since friday] and my throat was killing me. But now my throat doesnt feel so bad anymore but i do have a lot of mucus. What can i do? And does being active make it worse?

I have tried salt water you know for your throat. && the cough spray. && used some medience to help colds. && It still doesn't work. && hot tea. What is a natural homemade cure???

it would be great if you had some hot tea. preferably green tea. put one teaspoon of honey into one cup of hot tea. it works wonders for me. as for a stuffy nose, when nothing else works i will boil a small pot of water. once water is at a boil i'll put it in a bowl at the table and put a towel over my head and breathe in the steam for about five minutes. that should do the trick. also, green tea takes away menstral cramps. please try that once and you'll be hooked. (better than store bought painkillers) and much more healthier for you.

this is a home remedy my mother makes me and it really works with my stuffy nose it will make you breathe easier

put it on a bowl
add vicks or lander vicks menthol
inhale the vapor deeply for 5 to 10 minutes
covering your head with towel

I am apartame free so i need a home remdey
all gum has aspartame they are owned by the same three co.

Dilute some salt and some iodine in a warm water. (a few drops of iodine and a teaspoon of salt) Put a few drops of the solution into each nostril, then sniff it out. Rinse, repeat 3-5 times. Careful not to overdo it with salt and iodine because you will burn the inside of your nose. (don't worry about it too much though because even if you screw up a little the effects wont last long, and you wont damage your nose) Too little and it will have no effect though. You have to do this procedure 3-4 times a day, every day for it to help.

Another thing you can do is boil an egg. While it's still hot, put it in a sock or a towel, and hold it against your nose first on one side, then on the other. Make sure you feel the heat. Don't use a towel or a sock that only barely lets heat through. As with the 1st remedy, doing this only once will not help. you need to do this several times s a day.

For many people, sinusitis (inflammation of the mucous membranes lining the facial sinuses) is a nuisance that requires treatment, but not one that's severe enough to be worth a trip to the doctor. Here are some of the options for quick symptom relief at home:

Up the humidity. Keeping the membranes inside your nose and sinuses moist is very helpful for relieving congestion and discomfort.

* Saline (salt-water) nasal sprays are terrific and safe to use as often as desired.
* A hot shower or hot drink can do wonders to clear a stuffy head.
* You can also hold your head over a bowl of boiling water and cover your head with a towel to concentrate the steam. I like to make the water as hot as possible, but watch out for burns!
* A whole-house or room humidifier is also a good idea. Just be diligent about keeping it clean - these devices can become part of the problem if mold or fungus is allowed to accumulate inside them.

Stay hydrated. Drinking more fluid minimizes dryness and irritation, and helps prevent or treat some headaches.

Irrigate the nasal passages. Several devices that go beyond simple nasal sprays can actually flush out your nose and sinuses with saline. This approach isn't for everyone, but some people really love it.

Keep the eyes moist. Like nasal sprays, saline eye drops help reduce the pain, itching, and dryness that often come with allergies.

Drop the cough. Many cough drops in the form of hard "candies," some with herbal ingredients, can suppress a cough for up to an hour. These can work in different ways, including simply increasing the production of saliva, which helps keep the throat moist and reduce irritation. If you are diabetic or have high blood sugar, be sure to use a sugar-free version.

Try cough medicine. The most common active ingredient in these medications is guaifenesin, which is intended to thin out the mucus and make it easier to drain and less irritating in your throat. There is still debate, however, about whether guaifenesin really does any good.

The best chance of success is with the higher dose range - 2,400 mg spread throughout the day. The other ingredient to look for in an over-the-counter cough medicine is dextromethrophan, which often is indicated by the letters "DM" in the medication's name. DM works like codeine to prevent coughing, but is not a narcotic and is not addictive.

It can cause drowsiness, but for some people that's preferable to the fatigue that comes from all the congestion and coughing. Cough suppressants are available in syrups and tablets. The liquid, syrupy formulations typically have lower doses, and therefore might last only for an hour or two. These syrups also often contain sugar or alcohol, which can be a problem for some people.

Kill the pain. Acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and naproxen are the active ingredients in most analgesic painkillers, and can help with many of the bothersome symptoms of sinusitis.

Finally, a word about the combination medicines that are designed to treat multiple symptoms in one tablet. Many of these include an antihistamine, or a decongestant, or both. The benefit is fewer pills to buy and swallow, but the risk is that you might end up taking some medicines that you don't really need.

I like day Quill to relieve my symptoms. Then I load up on vitamin C and a multi vitamin. And a Rockstar lol. Probaly not the healthiest but whatever.. lol That usually knocks it out or relieves it good enough.

Okay. I have seen a lot of stuffy nose topics, and many are useless for me. Anyways, I have a major stuffy nose, whenever I stand up or run, or walk, it stops for like 1-6 seconds. When I sit down, it just gets so stuffy, it's like I don't even have 2 nostrils! I feel like cutting it off! It's so annoying. I want something you don't have to pay for, and I heard take a warm/hot bath in several posts on this site. I did put on Vicks Vaporub, on top of my upper lip, and on each side of my nose, and some into both nostrils, but mostly the one to my left. My stuffy nose does switch sides at times though. Please help me! I hate stuffy nose's. Hate them!

Also, when I sneeze, just discovered now. It makes it clear for 1-2 seconds.

Hi. Well it's not free but a netti pot is something you use to pour a warm water or warn salt solution into your nostril. It gently flushes out the sinus.
I imagine you could try to use a small disposable Dixie cup and get the same results. The result is wonderful clear sinuses. Ahhhhh :)

I've been sick with a sore throat and stuffy nose for about 4 days now. I have tried mostly everything, gargling with salt water, tea, tylenol cold and cough.. Nothing helps. I know you're supposed to get alot of sleep and i would love nothing more than to sleep but i cant sleep because of my nose and throat. I actually have to brace myself when i'm about to swallow. Please help.

I just got over a really bad cold. I didn't have any money for medicine so I made some chamomile tea and put honey in it. It soothed my throat and stopped my cough. I also used some nasal spray that I got at dollar general a while ago. It worked really well.

If I had the money I would have got some Vicks chloraseptic spray for my throat. It works really well for me.
